How We Connect

Relationships happen in the margins

Tuesday Mornings

While students are in class, parents gather in common areas for conversation, prayer, and mutual support.

Lunch Together

Shared mealtime is sacred. Families eat together, creating space for kids and parents to build friendships naturally.

Outside Tuesdays

Field trips, park days, and family gatherings extend community beyond our weekly schedule.

Parents Are the Heart

Anchor is a co-op and we welcome parents and siblings to stay. We believe parents bring essential wisdom, and their involvement shapes our culture.

  • Teaching - Share your expertise by leading a class or substitute teaching
  • Helping - Assist in classrooms, monitor common areas, or help with setup and cleanup
  • Supporting - Coordinate events, organize field trips, or serve on committees
  • Connecting - Simply being present, getting to know other families, and building relationships

Every family contributes in ways that fit their season and strengths. We work together to make Tuesdays run smoothly.

Community Favorites

Family Gatherings

Potlucks, holiday celebrations, and other events where the whole family can connect and build lasting friendships.

Twice a Year

End of Semester Parties

Each semester wraps up with a celebration. Students share what they have learned, families gather, and we take a moment to recognize how much we have grown together.

Spaces to Gather

Room for connection throughout the morning

Common Areas

Bring your coffee and pull up a chair. Our common spaces are made for conversation, connection, and prayer throughout the morning.

Nursery & Playroom

A play space for little ones not yet in classes, so parents can be present and at ease throughout the morning. Meet other parents and form friendships.

Nursing Room

A quiet, private space upstairs for nursing moms who need a comfortable place to step away when needed. Just let us know if you need access.

Community Values

What makes Anchor feel like home

Welcoming

New families find open arms and genuine interest. We remember what it felt like to walk in for the first time, and we make sure others feel at ease from day one.

Supportive

Hard days happen. Curriculum fails. Kids struggle. We are here to listen, encourage, and remind each other why we chose this path. No competition, just camaraderie.

Faith-Founded

Our Christian foundation shapes how we treat each other—with grace, patience, and kindness. We pray together, serve one another, and seek to honor God in our community life.

Flexible

We know homeschooling looks different for every family. We accommodate various learning styles, family sizes, and seasons of life. Structure with room for real life.
